Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Kang Do-hyung carried out various activities related to Korea’s hosting of the 4th UN Ocean Conference in 2028, such as attending a meeting on UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No.14 (Life Below Water) held in Songdo, Incheon on Tuesday, January 14, and having meetings with high-ranking UN officials. Minister Kang held a three-party meeting with Li Junhua, UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs, and Peter Thomson, UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for the Oceans, and requested the UN's cooperation in consolidating the support base for Korea’s hosting of the 4th UN Ocean Conference.
