The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced that the preparatory committee for the 10th Our Ocean Conference, to be held from April 28 to 30, 2025 at BEXCO in Busan, will convene on October 4, 2024.

* This annual high-level international maritime conference gathers global ocean leaders to discuss marine issues and announce commitments to action, known as the ‘Davos Forum of the Oceans.’ The 10th OOC preparatory committee is chaired by Minister Kang Do-hyung of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and includes experts from various fields such as maritime and fisheries, diplomacy, and public relations. The committee includes Lim Ki-tack, former Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization, and Kim Hyo-eun, former Climate Ambassador of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, providing comprehensive advice for the preparation of the 10th OOC. This conference will serve as an excellent opportunity to enhance Korea's diplomatic stature as a global ocean leader and to promote international cooperation and economic benefits. The meeting will discuss collaboration plans with related organizations and planning strategies for the successful hosting of the OOC.
