Minister Kang Do-hyung of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries attended the opening ceremony of the 'Korea Hanbat Urban Sea Festival' at Hanbit Plaza in Daejeon on August 30. This festival, co-hosted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the City of Daejeon, aims to foster social consensus on the excellence and safety of our seafood in a city without a sea, under the theme 'The Vitality of Our Seas, the Heartbeat of Our Nation.' From August 30 to September 1, a variety of events including a food market, fishing experiences, and seafood exhibitions and sales took place in Hanbit Plaza among other locations. Minister Kang promoted the excellent quality and safety of our seafood at the opening ceremony and encouraged fishers and local businesses at the food market and exhibition/sales booths.
