Revise the Agreement on Fisheries Cooperation

On June 3, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries will revise the Agreement on Fisheries Cooperation with the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries. Korea and Norway signed the agreement on bilateral cooperation in 2002 and have carried out professional training and joint research in areas such as quarantine and fisheries science. Since then, the two nations have agreed to revise the agreement to reflect changes in the development of fisheries technologies and increased trade. The revised agreement will be signed on the occasion of the visit of the Norwegian Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Policy, Marianne Sivertsen Næss, to Korea.
