On May 28, the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries held a roundtable meeting with the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies in Seoul to examine current issues on national science and technology policies and discuss ideas on expanding cooperation for the development of science and technology in the marine and fisheries sector. The Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies is an organization that fosters and supports the research activities of scientists and science and technology organizations both at home and abroad based on its cooperative network consisting of 612 domestic academic organizations, 13 regional associations, and 19 associations of overseas Korean scientists and technology engineers.
