On April 17th (Wednesday), at 2:00 PM, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (Minister Kang Do-Hyung) held the 13th Fishermen’s Day Ceremony in Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do under the theme “Open Fishing Villages, Young Steps, and New Fisheries Powerhouse.” April 1st has been designated as the statutory Fishermen’s Day to raise public awareness of the industrial value of fisheries and fishing villages and to raise the pride of fishermen. This year’s ceremony was held on Wednesday, April 17th, in Wando, the home of abalone and seaweed.
