On March 25th (Monday), at 14:00, Minister Kang Do-Hyung of Oceans and Fisheries attended the inauguration ceremony of the 2nd National Communication Group on Seafood Safety (hereinafter “National Communication Group”) held at the Sejong Government Convention Center. To provide the public with accurate information related to seafood safety, the Ministry first appointed the 1st National Communication Group, consisting of 30 members, in March 2023 (to be active from March to December 2023). The first National Communication Group served as a bridge for communication between the public and the government by inspecting seafood safety management sites and participating in policy meetings. This year, a total of 114 individuals applied for the 2nd National Communication Group, where 40 members were selected through a document screening and interview process. This year’s Group includes a variety of individuals* who are interested in seafood consumption, including housewives, nutritionists, university students, and office workers. The 2nd National Communication Group will conduct various activities until December this year, such as taking part in the ▲ inspection of seafood safety management sites and ▲ policy meetings, and will share voluntarily created content on such activities on their personal social network channels.
