On March 15th (Friday), Minister Kang Do-Hyung of Oceans and Fisheries visited Tongyeong City to inspect the search and rescue sites of recent fishing vessel accidents and met with the bereaved families and families of the missing to offer his consolation. The offshore longline fishing vessel 2nd Haesinho capsized 37 nautical miles south of Yokjido Island in Tongyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do on March 9th (Saturday) at around 06:43, and the large twin-deck trawler 102 Haejonho sank off the coast of Tongyeong City on March 14th (Thursday), at around 04:15, causing casualties. The search for missing persons is underway.
