Minister Cho Seung Hwan of Oceans and Fisheries visited Ever Blue Sea in Saha-gu, Busan, on November 1st (Wednesday) to listen to the voices of the people on the ground, including their plans to increase seafood exports. In addition to the visit to Ever Blue Sea, an exporter of fish cakes recording more than USD 2 million in exports, the Minister met with major export-supporting organizations and agencies, including Busan Metropolitan City, the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives, Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, Korea Fisheries Association, Korea Fishery Trade Association, and Korea Maritime Institute, to hear ideas on expanding seafood exports and managing seafood prices as well as get input on the challenges being faced on the ground.
