On September 21st (Thursday), Minister Cho Seung-hwan of Oceans and Fisheries made a video call to Captain Kang Sang-yong of the Yang Man-Chun vessel, ahead of the departure (Sept. 25th) of the 41st deployment Cheonghae fleet to the waters of the Gulf of Aden and conveyed a message of encouragement to the troops. The Minister stressed that “thanks to the maritime security and anti-piracy operations of the Cheonghae troop, our seafarers and ships can safely navigate the Gulf of Aden.” He also wished for their safe return, as he reiterated his hopes “for the successful mission of the 41st fleet, their health and well-being.”
