On September 19th (Tuesday), Minister Cho Seung-hwan of Oceans and Fisheries met with Chief Coordinator & Representative Choi Jin-sik of the Federation of Middle Market Enterprises of Korea and Chairman Kim Ki-seong of the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives in Seoul to discuss collaboration ideas for the promotion of seafood consumption between medium-sized Korean enterprises and the fisheries industry. The meeting was convened as the Federation of Middle Market Enterprises agreed to the request from the Ministry to discuss bilateral collaboration actions that aim to support the domestic fisheries industry, which has recently suffered from high water temperatures and rising production costs.
