On September 18th (Monday), Minister Cho Seung-hwan of Oceans and Fisheries visited the Yeongmyeong Orphanage in Yeonsu-myeon, Sejong Special Self-Governing City for the Chuseok holidays to provide encouragement to the children and staff of the facility, and delivered consolation allowances and gifts, including Korean seafood products purchased from nearby markets, such as shrimp and blue crab. The Minister said, "I am grateful to the director and staff who strive to keep the children happy even under difficult conditions, and I express my support for the future of the children." The Minister added, "I wish you all healthy and happy Chuseok holidays." The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries plans to continue its donations and sharing with local communities to ensure that no marginalized individual of the community is left behind.
