On August 25th, Minister Cho Seung Hwan of Oceans and Fisheries visited Incheon Comprehensive Fish Market to inspect seafood safety management practices and hold talks with the fisheries industry leaders, including the local Suhyup association leaders. Accompanied by Administrative Vice-Mayor of Incheon City, Economic Policy Representative of Suhyup, local Suhyup association leaders, and officials of the Incheon Comprehensive Fish Market on site, Minister Cho inspected the origin labeling and prices of seafood products. He also listened to the challenges faced by the vendors and made seafood purchases. During the visit, Minister Cho stated, "I can confidently say that there are no safety issues with the seafood served on our tables" and added that the Ministry will continue to "thoroughly check and inspect seafood safety, transparently share the results, and further promote seafood safety to ensure worry-free public consumption.”
