On July 21st, Minister Cho Seung Hwan of Oceans and Fisheries visited the Jeollanam-do province to inspect aqua farms exposed to high water temperatures  during the summer season. As of July 6th, a preliminary warning on high water temperatures, the High Water Temperature Crisis Warning - Caution, was issued within the coasts of the West and South Seas. The Ministry continues to closely monitor the water temperatures of all coasts nationwide to minimize damages from high temperatures, while providing the fishing community with timely breaking news and real-time special reports on high temperatures. In addition, the Ministry continues to engage in proactive measures by providing response devices, including low-floor seawater supply devices, oxygen supply devices, and liquified oxygen.
