On May 10th Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries held the 11th Oceans Arbor Day at convention center in JeJu under the theme “Sea we draw, sea forest we dream” Ocean Arbor Day is designed to raise awareness about ocean degradation
and the importance of underwater ecosystems, that promotes public interest in protecting the forest below the sea. On that day, Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and Hyndai motors, and Hyosung Group would sign the agreement for sea forest blue carbon.It’s the first time for private sectors to join to growing sea forest. More private sectors ,interested in environment protection and social contributions, are expected to to join the campaign.
