Meeting with Minister Marius Skuodis of Transport and Communications of Lithuania

On April 18th, Minister Cho Seung Hwan of Oceans and Fisheries had a luncheon meeting with Minister Marius Skuodis of Transport and Communications of Lithuania in Seoul.
During the luncheon with Lithuanian Minister Skuodis of Transport and Communication, Minister Cho explained Korea’s green and digital transformation efforts in the shipping and port sector, while expressing the intention to cooperate in the development project for new ports in Klaipeda, Lithuania. In addition to the Lithuanian Minister of Transport and Communication, Lithuanian Ambassador Ricardas Slepavicius to Korea, Deputy Minister Julius Skackauskas of Transport and Communication, and Director General Algis Latakas of the Port of Klaipeda also attended the meeting. This meeting is expected to serve as a stepping stone to mutually explore cooperation in the areas of shipping and ports, including the Klaipeda New Port Development Project, a key initiative of the Lithuanian government.
