Joint holding a forum to discuss sustainable growth of the Asian cruise industry and revitalization of the international cruise industry in South Korea

- The 11th Jeju International Cruise Forum to be held from July 10 to 12.

The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province will jointly hold the 11th Jeju International Cruise Forum (2024 ASIA Cruise Forum Jeju) on Jeju Island for three days from July 10 to 12.

The Jeju International Cruise Forum, celebrating its 11th anniversary this year, is Asia's leading cruise industry exhibition. Held annually for major cruise lines in Asia,* the forum brings together key officials from ports of call in order to share information and discuss how to contribute to the development of the Asian cruise industry.

The forum will consist of a conference session under the main theme of “Sustainable Growth and the Future Vision of the Asian Cruise Industry,” including in-depth discussions on such topics as “Global cruise trends and cooperation” and “Challenges in revitalizing the Korean cruise industry from the perspective of shipping companies,” and a session introducing the operational strategies of global shipping companies in the Asian region.

Other programs include official business meetings between major ports of call in Asia and international cruise lines’ efforts to attract cruise tourists, the sharing of entry and departure formalities for cruise tourists in major countries, and a meeting of the Cruise Development Council to discuss ways of developing the related domestic systems. Anyone interested in receiving more detailed information about the event can visit the Jeju International Cruise Forum website.
